What is Podcasting?

Podcasting technically refers to setting up a "feed" in your iTunes software to automatically pick up new audio mp3's that are released by someone. We will be offering that in the future.

For now, you can surely do what a lot of "non-techy" people think Podcasting is, which is putting an audio talkshow on your iPod.

YOU WILL ALWAYS BE ABLE to do this on HerbMentor (which is what the video shows) even when we have a real podcast feed. SO NO WORRIES to those who don't care about podcast feeds.

This video shows you how to take an audio from HerbMentor and put it in iTunes so you can listen on an iPod or burn a cd.

iTunes is a free program available for Mac and PC at apple.com.

This video shows you how to put an audio from HerbMentor on your iPod, mp3 player or burn a cd. This video does not show anything about podcast feeds.

Can't view the video?

Basically, you do this...

  1. Download the mp3
  2. Open iTunes
  3. Create a Playlist (CNTL N or CMND N on a Mac)
  4. Name the Playlist
  5. Drag and drop the mp3 file in the Playlist
  6. Sync your iPod
  7. You'll find your mp3's in the Playlist part of your iPod.

Also, for those on dial-up who find it easier to download the mp3's rather than listen online streaming, this method also works. Do the same as above, but simply LISTEN using your iTunes or other mp3 player program rather than sync it with your iPod.
